Taha 88–113
Musa confronted his people who worshipped a calf idol made by Samiri, expelled its creator and burned the idol, then it was emphasized that these stories are lessons before a description of the Day of Judgment.
Verses 88-98 continue the story of the Prophet Musa with his people and explain how difficult it was for the Prophet Musa to nurture the faith of Bani Isra'il who were saved with him from Pharaoh's pursuit. They still associated partners with Allah by worshipping a calf idol created by the architect of shirk named Samiri. He could design a calf idol with a lowing sound. His companions were deceived, though the idol could not answer their words and could not bring them any benefit or harm whatsoever.
Previously, the Prophet Harun had advised them. But they did not listen. Musa was momentarily angry with Harun because he was thought to be insufficiently firm with them. Then Musa asked Samiri why he engineered this calf god. Samiri said that he saw Jibril when destroying Pharaoh and took a handful of dust from the track of Musa's horse, then threw it into the fire that was burning the gold ornaments brought from Egypt. Thus Samiri's desires overpowered him. Then Musa expelled Samiri and will hold him accountable for his deed before Allah in the Hereafter. Musa burned the calf idol and threw its ashes into the sea.
Verses 99-113 explain that the true stories mentioned in the Qur'an are meant to be lessons and the Qur'an itself is a lesson from Allah. Those who refuse to take the Qur'an as a lesson that regulates the system of their life in this world will bear their sin forever in Hell and will remain there eternally. After the event of the Day of Judgment, those who rebelled against Allah will be gathered on the Day of Gathering in a state of blindness. While whispering, they will say that the life of this world felt only a day or so.
Allah will destroy everything in this universe on the Day of Judgment. On that day no creature will be able to speak. There is no intercession except by Allah's permission. All human faces will be humbled before Allah the Ever-Living and Self-Subsisting. Lost will be those who are unjust and associate partners with Allah. Those who believe and do many righteous deeds founded on faith in Allah, they do not fear injustice nor any diminishment of their rights.
The Qur'an was revealed by Allah in the Arabic language. Allah has made clear in it His various warnings so that mankind may fear Him or take it as a lesson.
