Al-'Ankabut 15–23
Rejection of the call to faith is not something new — Prophet Nuh and Prophet Ibrahim experienced it before, and that is Allah's consolation for Prophet Muhammad.
Verses 15-23 continue the story of Prophet Nuh and continue with Ibrahim and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah saved Nuh and all the passengers on his ship. Allah made that event a proof of His power and the weakness of those who disbelieve in Him. Prophet Ibrahim also invited his people to worship Allah and not associate partners with Him through false gods created by themselves. In fact, those gods could not provide them with sustenance. Prophet Ibrahim called upon them to seek sustenance from Allah, worship Him and be grateful to Him. However, his people still refused and fought against Ibrahim's call.
Therefore, Allah consoled Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) so as not to grieve facing the disbelievers of Quraysh who fought against his call, because the previous messengers of Allah were also fought in the same way, and even more than that. The task of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is only to convey the call to monotheism to all people. If those disbelievers were willing to study how Allah begins the creation of mankind and then repeats it to them very easily, they would be able to understand the call of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah has the power to resurrect those who are dead on the day of resurrection. Allah will punish and have mercy on whom He wills and to Him they will be returned.
Those disbelievers will not be able to weaken the will of Allah and will not find any protector or helper other than Allah. In fact, those who disbelieve in the Qur'an and the meeting with Allah are those who have lost hope in His mercy, and for them is the punishment of Hell in the Hereafter.
