Day 249 · Surah Yasin Verses 41-70

Yasin 41–70

Two blasts of the Horn will end and resurrect life; the inhabitants of Paradise are then described relaxing while the mouths of sinners are sealed and their body parts testify.

Man's ability to create means of transportation is a grace from Allah, and without His mercy nothing can save them from drowning.
No matter how many signs of Allah's greatness, the disbelievers remain rejecting the call to God-consciousness and spending in charity.
At one blast of the Horn all people die, and at another blast they emerge from their graves toward Allah without any being wronged.
The inhabitants of Paradise, with their spouses, sit in shaded places upon couches, obtaining fruits and greetings from Allah.
In the assembly, the mouths of disbelievers are sealed so that their hands speak and their feet testify, and the Qur'an is not poetry but a reminder for those whose hearts are alive.

Verses 41-54 explain three matters:

Continuing with signs of Allah's power, such as teaching mankind to build means of transportation by sea (ships), land, and air. If Allah wills to sink them, nothing can help and save them except by His mercy so they may enjoy life temporarily.
No matter how great and numerous the signs of Allah's greatness, the disbelievers still refuse to understand them so they cannot accept the call to God-consciousness toward Allah and spending in Allah's way. Yet God-consciousness is the way to save oneself from Allah's punishment in this world and the Hereafter.
The disbelievers challenge the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) asking when the Hour will come. All people will experience it. With one blast of the Horn, all people die and no longer have time to do anything. Then it is blown again, and all people in their graves emerge toward Allah. At that time, the disbelievers are shocked and realize they are in danger while asking: Who has raised us from our resting place? Then it is said to them: This is what the Most Merciful promised. With one blast, all are gathered before Allah. On that day, no one will be wronged and the reward will be given according to what people believed, said, and did.

Verses 55-70 explain four matters:

The believers who are God-conscious are in Paradise, occupied with merriment. They and their spouses are in shaded places, reclining on couches. For them are fruits and whatever they desire. They receive greetings from their Lord, the Most Merciful.
As for the sinners, their fate is very different. They violated Allah's command not to worship (follow) Satan who is a clear enemy. Instead, they refused to worship (obey) and make Allah alone; yet this is the straight path. How many people Satan has led astray! Why do they not use sound reasoning? In the Hereafter, they will be cast into the Hell of Jahannam promised to those who disobey Allah and His Messenger. They are cast into it because of their disbelief in Allah.
In the assembly, Allah seals the mouths of disbelievers and hypocrites because they wish to lie. Their hands will speak and their feet will testify to the disbelief they committed. Allah could have punished them in this world by blinding their eyes or transforming them into stone or animals so they can no longer walk or return to their former state. Whoever Allah grants long life, He returns him to weakness like his beginning. Why do people not reflect upon this?
Allah did not teach the Prophet poetry, for it is not fitting for him. Rather, the Qur'an is a reminder for those whose hearts are alive. For the disbelievers it will certainly bring ruin.
