Az-Zumar 68–75
The sequence of the Day of Judgment is described from the two blasts of the trumpet, the gathering in the Plain, to two groups being driven to the fire and welcomed at the gates of Paradise.
Verses 68-74 explain part of the process of the Day of Judgment until the God-conscious enter Paradise. The first blast of the trumpet causes all creatures in the heavens and on earth to die. At the second blast, Allah resurrects all the dead. In the Plain, the place of the great gathering, is illuminated by Allah's light. There, the records of people's deeds are given, the Prophets and angels are presented to testify to what was entrusted to them by Allah. There too, people's matters are decided with justice, with no one wronged in the least. Allah perfects the reward of every person for what they did, for He is fully aware of every detail of what they did.
The disbelievers are driven to Hellfire in groups. When asked by the angels guarding Hellfire, they acknowledge their disbelief toward Allah's messengers who conveyed and recited to them His books and warned them of the Day of Judgment. Then they are cast into Hellfire. That is the worst dwelling place for those who were arrogant toward Allah and His messengers.
As for the God-conscious, they are brought into Paradise in groups. Upon arriving at the gates of Paradise, they are greeted by its keepers with the words: 'Peace be upon you, enter Paradise for what you used to do.' They spontaneously say: 'All praise is for Allah who fulfilled His promise to us and made us inherit this land of Paradise wherever we wish. How excellent is the reward of the righteous who did good deeds during their life in this world.'
Verse 75 of Surah Az-Zumar continues from the previous verses. The angels encircle the Throne of Allah while glorifying and praising Him. All people's matters have been decided with utmost justice and everyone praises Allah, the Creator of the universe.
