At-Tagabun 1–9
Mankind is created then divided into believers and disbelievers in the sight of Allah who knows the contents of hearts, and the fate of past nations that denied the messengers is made a reminder about the day of resurrection.
Verses 1-4 of Surah At-Taghabun explain that what glorifies Allah is all that is in the heavens and on earth. The entire kingdom and all praise belong only to Him. He created mankind. Some of them are believers and some are disbelievers in Him. He is All-Seeing of what we do. He created the heavens and earth and designed mankind in the best form. All mankind will return to Him. Allah knows all that is in the heavens, on earth, all that we conceal and what we reveal. He knows all that is conceived in our hearts.
Verses 5-9, Allah has explained the stories of nations that disbelieved in the past. Allah destroyed them because of their disbelief. In the Hereafter, Allah has prepared Hellfire for them, because they rejected the Messengers and the revelation with the excuse that the messengers are human like them. They turned away and thought they did not need Allah. Yet Allah is Self-Sufficient and Praiseworthy. They also did not believe they would be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. Yet they will surely be raised up and informed of what they did in the world. Resurrection is easy for Allah. Therefore, believe in Allah and the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
Make the Qur'an the light of your life and your system of living. Allah is All-Observant of what we do. On the Day of Gathering, all mistakes will be shown and not a single deed will be missed, even if it is the size of a grain. The believer who believes and does righteous deeds will have their sins erased and be entered into gardens beneath which rivers flow. They will abide therein. That is the great and boundless success.
