25. Al-Mudhil — The Humiliator
He is the Being who gives the kingdom to whom He wills, and takes away the kingdom from whom He wills.
It is said that Al-Mu'izz is the Being who grants honor to His servants whom He wills, and Al-Mudhil is the Being who subdues whom He wills by humiliating them.
Adopting the character of these two names requires one to honor whom he is commanded to honor and humiliate whom he is commanded to humiliate.
Its Efficacy Whoever reads the name Al-Mu'izz on Monday night or Friday night after the Maghrib prayer forty times, then Allah will instill fear in the hearts of all creatures toward him. And whoever reads the name Al-Mudhil seventy-five times and then supplicates during his prostration, then he will be freed from imprisonment and will be saved from the disturbance of envious and oppressive people.
