53. Al-Qawiyy — The All-Strong
Al Qawiy is the One who is never afflicted with weakness, whether in His essence, His attributes, or His acts. Whereas Al Matin is the One who possesses perfect strength, in which none of His acts can be contested, there is no weakness in His power, and His command cannot be refused. Such a state is impossible for anyone other than Allah SWT, for He alone possesses perfect attributes. Al-Quwwah indicates perfect power, and Al-Matin indicates very great strength. Allah SWT, in respect of His power reaching perfection, is called Al-Qawiy, and in respect of Him being very strong, is called Al-Matin. Discussion of this ism will continue in the discussion of the ism of Allah Al-Qadir.
Its Benefits Whoever is wronged and does dhikr with the ism Al-Qawiy with the intention that the one who wronged him meet with misfortune, will be protected from that person's evil. But he should fear Allah in doing so.
Whoever recites the ism Al-Matin over a young girl or a young boy ten times, that child will surely never become disobedient.
