7. Al-Muhaymin — The Guardian
It is the right of Allah the Almighty that He takes care of the needs of all His creatures: their deeds, their sustenance, and their appointed time; by watching over, controlling, and preserving them. What brings together these three meanings is Al-Muhaymin, and this will not be gathered perfectly and completely except for Allah the Almighty.
There is another opinion stating that this name is the name of Allah the Almighty in the ancient scriptures. It is also said that Al-Muhaymin means the Guardian over the essence of this world and all that pertains to it. And there are also those who say it means the Being who is Most Perfect in preservation and oversight. There is yet another opinion stating that it means the Witness.
Drawing near to Allah with this name means to always watch over oneself in every matter, for nothing whatsoever is hidden from Allah the Almighty.
Its Efficacy Whoever recites it one hundred times after bathing and praying in a secluded place, concentrating his attention on Allah the Almighty, then Allah will purify him inwardly and outwardly.
