85. Dhu Al Jalali Wa Al Ikram — The Possessor of Majesty and Honour
He is the One for whom alone there is greatness and for whom alone there is perfection. And there is no honour or anyone honoured except originating from Him. The attribute of Jalal (majesty) belongs to Him in His Essence, while the attribute of Karamah (honour) is His bounty granted to His creation. The kinds of honour He grants to His creation are almost without limit and without end, as shown by His words:
"And indeed We have honoured the children of Adam ..." (QS. Al-Isra': 70)
The qualities of honour Allah has granted to mankind are many and varied. The most important are reason, hearing, sight, the heart, and so on.
Draw near taqarrub (to Allah) with this ism requires you to always be submissive and humble before Allah SWT, to adorn yourself with perfect qualities far removed from blameworthy traits, and to be generous towards Allah's servants through giving.
Its Benefits Ism this has the benefit of bringing honour, dignity, and greatness to the one who does dhikr with it.
