86. Al-Muqsit — The All-Just
He is the One who takes the right of the wronged from the one who wronged them. And His perfection lies in making the wronged person willingly accept what the wrongdoer has done. This is the pinnacle of justice without favouritism, and it cannot be done except by Allah SWT.
An example is the hadith narrated from 'Umar bin Khaththab r.a., that while the Prophet saw. was sitting, he suddenly laughed until his bright white teeth showed, and 'Umar asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what has made you laugh?"
The Messenger of Allah replied: "Two of my ummah knelt and one said: 'O Lord, take my right from this one who has wronged me!'
"Then Allah SWT said to the one who had wronged him: 'Return to your brother everything you unjustly took from him!'
"That man replied: 'O Lord, there is no good left in me to give back!'
"Then the wronged man said: 'O Lord, then place my sins upon him!'
Then the Messenger of Allah saw. wept, saying: "That is such a tremendous day that a person needs to ask for his sins to be placed upon someone else."
He continued, "Then Allah said to the wronged man: 'Raise your gaze and look into Paradise!'
"Then that man said: 'O Lord, I see cities made of silver and palaces
made of gold adorned with jewels — for whom are they, then? For which prophet, or for which siddiq, or for which martyr?'
Allah replied: 'I have given it to whoever pays its price!'
"The man asked: 'O Lord, who is able to pay its price?!'
"Allah replied: 'You can pay its price.'
He asked: 'With what?'
The answer: 'With your forgiveness towards your brother!'
"The man said: 'O Lord, I have forgiven him.'
"Then Allah said: 'Take your brother's hand and bring him with you into Paradise.'
Then the Prophet saw. said: "Fear Allah, all of you, and make peace among yourselves, for indeed Allah SWT will also, on the Day of Resurrection, make peace among the believers. Its Benefits Whoever does dhikr with this ism regularly, Allah will surely keep whispered doubts away from him.
