97. Al-Warith — The Great Inheritor
Al-Warith is the Divine Essence that remains after all that exists perishes. In another sense, He is the One who inherits all things after all their inhabitants are destroyed. Or, He is the One to whom all property and dominion return when there is no more need for dominion by anyone.
Allah's words:
Verily, We inherit the earth and all who are upon it ... (QS Maryam: 40)
Observe, when the trumpet is blown and all creatures have perished, Allah says: To whom belongs the dominion today? When there is no answer, He Himself replies: To Allah, the One, the All-Overpowering!
Those who see with the eye of the heart constantly witness the meaning of this verse and hear it. They are convinced that dominion belongs only to Allah alone, on every day, every moment, and every instant, for this reason He is Eternal in the past and eternal in the future. This can be achieved by those who understand the reality of monotheism, and know that the One alone in His actions in heaven and on earth is only one.
Conducting oneself with name this requires that you become an inheritor of what has been done by the righteous, for the scholars are the inheritors of the prophets.
Its Virtue This is effective in removing confusion from the one who remembers with it.
