Supplications to Be Given Wisdom and to Have One's Deeds Accepted

Supplication to Be Given Wisdom

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ

Robbi hablii hukmaw wa alhiqnii bish-shoolihiin waj'al lii lisaana shidqin fil aakhiriin waj'alnii miw warotsati jannatin na'iim

"My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous. And give me a truthful reputation among later peoples. And make me of the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure." (Qur'an 26:83-85).

رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

Robbanaa aamannaa faktubnaa ma'asy syaahidiin

"Our Lord, we have believed, so write us down with the witnesses." (Qur'an 5:83).

Supplication for One's Acts of Worship and Repentance to Be Accepted

رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Robbanaa taqobbal minnaa innaka antas samii'ul 'alimm,watub 'alainaa innaka antat tawwaabur rohiim

"Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. And turn toward us; indeed, You are the Repeatedly Returning, the Merciful." (Qur'an 2:127-128).

This supplication explains that all deeds performed by the Prophet Ibrahim were offered solely for Allah. The Prophet Ibrahim mentions two attributes of Allah: the All-Hearing, meaning that Allah hears the supplications of His servants in the sense that they are accepted by Allah, and the All-Knowing of all reasons for the supplications that are made.

Supplication to Be Given a Beautiful Dwelling in Paradise

رَبِّ ٱبْنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِى مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِۦ وَنَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

RabBibniI lii indaka baitan fil jan nati wa najjinIi min firauna wa'amalihi wa najjini minal qaumizH zHOOlimiIn

My Lord, build for me a house with You in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds, and save me from the oppressive people. (Qur'an 66:11)

The above supplication is very good to recite by those who struggle to establish the truth and uphold the Word of Allah. Because this supplication is the prayer of Asiyah bint Muzahim, the wife of Pharaoh. And Allah made the wife of Pharaoh an example for the believers, when she said: "My Lord, build for me a house with You in paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds, and save me from the oppressive people." This means: even if the wife of a disbeliever should believe in Allah, Allah would admit her into paradise.
