Prayer of the Prophet Adam: Prayer for Allah's Forgiveness

Prayer of the Prophet Adam Asking for Forgiveness

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخٰسِرِينَ

Robbanaa zholamnaa anfusanaa wa-illam taghfirlanaa watarhamnaa lanakuunanna minal khoosiriin

"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers." (Al A'raf: 23)

According to the Qur'an itself, this is the prayer recited by the Prophet Adam and Hawa after they were brought out of Paradise and sent down by Allah to the earth, asking forgiveness for their sin with this prayer.
