Supplications When Going to the Mosque and When Leaving the Mosque
اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ فِيْ قَلْبِيْ نُوْرًا، وَفِيْ لِسَانِيْ نُوْرًا، وَفِيْ سَمْعِيْ نُوْرًا، وَفِيْ بَصَرِيْ نُوْرًا، وَمِنْ فَوْقِيْ نُوْرًا، وَمِنْ تَحْتِيْ نُوْرًا، وَعَنْ يَمِيْنِيْ نُوْرًا، وَعَنْ شِمَالِيْ نُوْرًا، وَمِنْ أَمَامِيْ نُوْرًا، وَمِنْ خَلْفِيْ نُوْرًا، وَاجْعَلْ فِيْ نَفْسِيْ نُوْرًا، وَأَعْظِمْ لِيْ نُوْرًا، وَعَظِّمْ لِيْ نُوْرًا، وَاجْعَلْ لِيْ نُوْرًا، وَاجْعَلْنِيْ نُوْرًا، اَللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِنِيْ نُوْرًا، وَاجْعَلْ فِيْ عَصَبِيْ نُوْرًا، وَفِيْ لَحْمِيْ نُوْرًا، وَفِيْ دَمِيْ نُوْرًا، وَفِيْ شَعْرِيْ نُوْرًا، وَفِيْ بَشَرِيْ نُوْرًا. (اَللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِيْ نُوْرًا فِيْ قَبْرِيْ … ونُوْرًا فِيْ عِظَامِيْ ) (وَزِدْنِيْ نُوْرًا، وَزِدْنِيْ نُوْرًا، وَزِدْنِيْ نُوْرًا) (وَهَبْ لِيْ نُوْرًا عَلَى نُوْرٍ).
Alloohummaj'al fii qolbii nuuroo, wafii lisaanii nuuroo, wafii sam'ii nuuroo, wafii bashoorii nuuroo, wamin fauqii nuuroo, wamin tahtii nuuroo, wa 'an yamiinii nuuroo, wa 'an syimaalii nuuroo, wamin amaamii nuuroo, wamin waroo-ii nuuroo, waj'al fii nafsii nuuroo, wa a'zhim lii nuuroo, wa'azh-zhim lii nuuroo, waj'alnii nuuroo. Alloohumma a'thinii nuuroo, waj'al fii 'ashobii nuuroo, wafii lahmii nuuroo, wafii damii nuuroo, wa fii sya'rii nuuroo, wafii basyarii nuuroo. (Alloohumaj'al lii nuron fii qobrii..... wanuuron fii 'azhomii) (wazidnii nuuroo 3x) (wahablii nuuron 'alaa nuur)
"O Allah, place light in my heart, light in my tongue, light in my hearing, light in my sight, light from above me, light from below me, light on my right, light on my left, light from before me, and light from behind me. Place light in myself, magnify for me light, and exalt for me light. Grant me light and make me light. O Allah, give me light, place light in my nerves, light in my flesh, light in my blood, light in my hair, and light in my skin." (O Allah, make light for me in my grave... and light in my bones) (Increase me in light, increase me in light, increase me in light) (and grant me light upon light).
أَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ الْعَظِيْمِ، وَبِوَجْهِهِ الْكَرِيْمِ، وَسُلْطَانِهِ الْقَدِيْمِ، مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ، (بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَالصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ) اَللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِيْ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ.
A'uudzu billaahil 'azhiim, wabiwajhihil kariim, wasulthoonihil qodiimi minasy-syaithoonir rojiim, (bismilllaahi wash-sholaatu wasssalaamu 'alaa rosuulillaah), Alloohummaftahlii abwaaba rohmatik
"I seek refuge with Allah the Mighty, with His Noble Face, and with His Ancient Dominion, from the cursed Satan. (In the name of Allah, and may blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.) O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy."
or it is sufficient to say
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِيْ أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Alloohummaftahlii abwaaba rohmatik
"O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy".
بِسْمِ اللهِ وَالصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ، اَللَّهُمَّ اعْصِمْنِيْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ.
bismilllaahi wash-sholaatu wasssalaamu 'alaa rosuulillaah, Alloohumma innii as-aluka min fadhlik, Alloohumma'shimnii minasy-syaithoonir rojiim.
"In the name of Allah, and may blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah, I ask You for some of Your bounty. O Allah, protect me from the cursed Satan".
or it is sufficient to say
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Alloohumma innii as-aluka min fadhilik
"O Allah, I ask You for some of Your bounty". (Reported by Muslim and Abu Dawud)
Whoever hears the adhan should repeat what the muezzin says except for the calls to prayer and victory. Then he should recite:
لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللهِ، وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ، رَضِيْتُ بِاللهِ رَبًّا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُوْلاً، وَبِاْلإِسْلاَمِ دِيْنًا
Laa haula walaa quwwata illaa billaah, wa ana asyhadu allaa ilaaha illallohu wahdahuu laa syariikalah. Wa asyhadu anna muhammadan 'abduhuu warosuuluh, rodhiitu billaahi robbaa, wabimuhammadin rosuulaa, wabil islaami diinaa.
"There is no power and no strength except with Allah. I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah alone, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. I am pleased with Allah as my Lord, Muhammad as my Messenger, and Islam as my religion." (Recited after the muezzin recites the testimony).
Reciting blessings upon the Prophet after the adhan.
اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، وَالصَّلاَةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيْلَةَ وَالْفَضِيْلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُوْدًا الَّذِيْ وَعَدْتَهُ،إِنَّكَ لاَ تُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ
Alloohumma robba haadzihid da'watit taammah, wash-sholaatil qoo-imah, aati muhammadanil wasiilata wal fadhiilah, wab'atshu maqoomam mahmuudanilladzii wa'attah, innaka laa tukhliful mii-'aad
"O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and this established prayer, grant Muhammad the highest place and the finest virtue, and raise him to the honorable station which You have promised him. Indeed, You do not break Your promise."
