Supplication for Tahallul - Cutting Hair and After
Tahallul literally means to be permissible, in Hajj and Umrah it means that the Hajj pilgrims are allowed to exit the restrictions/prohibitions of ihram.
Tahallul is symbolized by cutting a minimum of 3 strands of hair.
Allaahu akbar Allaahu akbar Allaahu akbar. Wal hamdulilillahi 'ala maa hadaanaa wal hamdu lillaahi 'ala maa an'amanaa bihi 'alainaa. Allaahumma haadzihi naashiyatiiy fataqabbal minna waghfir dzhunubiiy. Allaahummaghfirlil muhallaqiina walmuqasshariina yaa waasi'al maghfirah. Allaahummatsbut liiy bikulla sya'ratin hasanatan wamhu 'anna bihaa sayya'atan, warfa'liiy bihaa 'indaka darajah.
Which means:
"Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great. All praise be to Allah who has guided us and all praise be to Allah for what Allah has blessed us with.
O Allah, this is my forelock, so accept it from me and forgive my sins.
O Allah, forgive those who cut and shorten their hair, O Allah of vast forgiveness. O Allah, establish for me with every hair goodness and erase from me with every hair evil. And raise me by it in rank with You."
2. Supplication for tahallul - after finishing cutting hair
Alhamdulillaahil ladzii qadla 'annaa manaasikanaa, Allaahumma zidnaa iimaanan wayaqiinan wa 'awnan, waghfirlanaa wali wali daynaa walisaairil muslimiina walmuslimaat.
Which means:
"All praise be to Allah who has fulfilled our rituals for us. O Allah, increase us in faith, certainty, and help, and forgive us, our parents, and all Muslim men and women."
