Supplication for Steadfastness in Faith
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُكَ الثَّبَاتَ فِي الأَمْرِ وَالْعَزِيْمَةَ عَلَى الرُّشْدِ وَأَسْأَلُكَ شُكْرَ نِعْمَتِكَ وَحُسْنَ عِبَادَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ قَلْبًا سَلِيْمًا وَلِسَانًا صَادِقًا، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِ مَاتَعْلَمُ وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَاتَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ عَلاَّمُ الْغُيُوْبِ
Alloohumma innii as-alukats tsabaata fil amri, wal ‘aziimata ‘alar rusydi, wa as-aluka syukro ni’matika wa husna ‘ibaadatik, wa as-aluka qolban saliiman walisaanan shoodiqon, wa as-aluka min khoiri maa ta’lamu wa a’uudzubika min syarri ma ta’lamu innaka ‘allamul ghuyuub
“O Allah، I ask You for steadfastness of heart in every matter، and firm resolve upon guidance. I ask You that I may be grateful for Your favours and worship You well. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for every good that You know, and I seek refuge with You from every evil that You know. Indeed, You are the Knower of all that is unseen.”
Whoever doubts in faith should seek refuge with Allah. To leave that doubt behind, let him say:
آمَنْتُ بِاللهِ وَرُسُلِهِ
Aamantu billahi warusulih
“I believe in Allah and in the truth of the messengers He has sent.” Narrated by Muslim 1/119-120.
