Types of Hajj That You Need to Know
In performing the Hajj pilgrimage there are three methods, namely:Tamattu', Qiran and Ifrad.
Hajj Tamattu'is entering ihram for Umrah during the months of Hajj (Shawwal, Dhul-Qi'dah and the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah), and completing Umrah during those times. Then entering ihram for Hajj from Makkah or its vicinity on the Day of Tarwiyah (8th of Dhul-Hijjah) in the year of that Umrah.
Hajj Qiranis entering ihram for both Umrah and Hajj simultaneously, and remaining in the state of ihram (not completing the rites) except on the Day of Nahr (10th of Dhul-Hijjah). Or entering ihram for Umrah first, then before performing the tawaf of Umrah, entering the intention for Hajj.
Hajj Ifradis entering ihram for Hajj from the miqat or from Makkah for those residing in Makkah, or from another place in the miqat region for those living there, then remaining in the state of ihram until the Day of Nahr, then performing tawaf, sa'i, cutting the hair and completing the rites.
Types of Hajj That You Need to Know
The most superior form of Hajj worship isHajj Tamattu', because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded this and emphasized it to the Companions.
