Prophet Isa Beginning to Have Followers

After Prophet Isa was blessed by Allah with the miracle of being able to transform clay into a bird, and the bird from clay then could flap its wings and fly high into the sky not long after Prophet Isa blew on it, the Jewish priests could only marvel and wonder. It never occurred to them that Prophet Isa could do something impossible become possible.

But even though the miracle of Prophet Isa was seen before their eyes, their hearts seemed covered with fog. They did not want to acknowledge the truth and the miracle that Prophet Isa possessed. On the contrary, they increasingly hated Prophet Isa, and besides spreading hate and slander, they also agreed to kill Prophet Isa.

Prophet Isa just looked at them in amazement. Then Prophet Isa said, "Who will be my helpers for (upholding the religion of) Allah?" Twelve young men stood up, and without hesitation said, "We are the helpers of the religion of Allah." (QS. 3:52)

After that, they raised their eyes to heaven and said with full conviction, "O our Lord, we believe in what You have sent down and we have followed the Messenger, so count us among those who bear witness." (QS. 3:53)
