The story of the glad tidings of the birth of Prophet Ishaq conveyed by angels to Ibrahim and Sarah when both were advanced in age and Sarah was previously barren, as told in Surah Hud.

Ishaq (Hebrew: יִצְחָק, Standard Yiẓḥaq Tiberian Yiṣḥāq; Arabic: إِسْحَاقَ, ʾIsḥāq) (c. 1761 BC - 1638 BC)[1][2] was the second son of Prophet Ibrahim after Ismail whose mother was Sarah and was the father of Prophet Ya'qub.[3]
Ishaq was sent to the people of Canaan. The story of Prophet Ishaq is very briefly told in the Qur'an. Prophet Ishaq is mentioned in the Qur'an 15 times. The excellence of Prophet Ishaq is mentioned 9 times and the prophethood of Ishaq 10 times. It is said that he had 2 children and died in Al-Khalil.
The name Ishaq comes from the Hebrew Yiṣḥāq which means to laugh/to smile. The word was taken from his mother, Sarah, who smiled in disbelief when she received the glad tidings from the angel Jibril.
Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Azar bin Nahur bin Suruj bin Ra'u bin Falij bin 'Abir bin Syalih bin Arfakhshad bin Syam bin Nuh. Ishaq married Rifqa daughter of Bethuel bin Nahur bin Tareh, married in 2088 BC. From this marriage Ishaq had two twin children Ya'qub and Al-Aish ('Aysu).
One day an angel came to Ibrahim. The wife of Prophet Ibrahim heard the conversation between the angel and Prophet Ibrahim. She came to meet them with amazement at the news they brought. She was confused about how she could bear a child, when she was an old woman and barren—at that time she had reached the age of 90 years. Meanwhile, her husband was also advanced in age. This is also written in the Qur'an which reads as follows:
The wife said: 'How! Shall I have a son, seeing I am an old woman, and my husband here is an old man? That would indeed be a wonderful thing!' (QS 11:72)
Then the angels said; they said 'Thus says your Lord: He is indeed wise and full of knowledge.' (QS 51:30)
Upon hearing this news, Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) became calm and happy, they were very grateful to Allah, Almighty, for this news.
And what he had been waiting for would come to pass. After some time, what was awaited came to pass, namely Siti Sarah gave birth to a child who was then named Ishaq by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). At that time, the age of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was 100 years. Prophet Ishaq (peace be upon him) was born fourteen years after the birth of Prophet Ismail (peace be upon him).
About the birth of Prophet Ishaq, it is also narrated in the Qur'an verses 69 to 74 of Surah Hud.
'And indeed there came our messengers to Ibrahim with glad tidings. They said: 'Peace.' He answered, 'Peace,' and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.
70. Then when he saw their hands went not towards the (meal), he felt some mistrust of them, and conceived a fear of them. They said: 'Fear not: We have been sent against the people of Luth.'
71. And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed: But We gave her glad tidings of Isaac, and after Isaac, of Jacob.
72. She said: 'Alas for me! shall I bear a child, seeing I am an old woman, and my husband here is an old man? That would indeed be a wonderful thing!'
73. They said: 'Dost thou wonder at Allah's decree? The grace of Allah and his blessings on you, O ye people of the house! for He is indeed worthy of all praise, full of all glory!'
74. When fear had passed from (the mind of) Ibrahim and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to dispute with us about the people of Luth.' (Hud: 69-74)
