Lessons from the Story of the Prophet Salih That We Can Learn

See how the people of Thamud were destroyed, devastated, and completely wiped from the earth because of the sins and violations of Allah's command committed by a few people who killed the camel of the Prophet Salih (peace be upon him).
Herein lies the wisdom of Allah's command for us to enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil. By performing this duty of enjoining good and forbidding evil, which is a collective obligation, even if we fail to prevent the evil that occurs in our society and under our protection, we have at least freed ourselves from the sin of approving or sanctioning that evil act.
Adopting a passive and indifferent stance toward sins and evil that occur before our eyes can be understood as approval of and participation in that evil act.
