هَلْ اَتٰىكَ حَدِيْثُ الْغَاشِيَةِۗ
1. Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ ۙ
2. Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌ ۙ
3. Labouring (hard), weary
تَصْلٰى نَارًا حَامِيَةً ۙ
4. The while they enter the Blazing Fire
تُسْقٰى مِنْ عَيْنٍ اٰنِيَةٍ ۗ
5. The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring
لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيْعٍۙ
6. No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِيْ مِنْ جُوْعٍۗ
7. Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَىِٕذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌ ۙ
8. (Other) faces that Day will be joyful
